The Yuanshan Grand Hotel is a landmark located at "Yuan Hill" in Zhongshan District, Taipei. The hotel was established in May, 1952 and the main building was completed in October 10, 1973. It is owned by the Duen-Mou Foundation of Taiwan, a non-profit organization, and has played host to many foreign dignitaries that have visited Taipei. The hotel's main building is the world's tallest Chinese classic building at 87 meters (285 ft). It's also the tallest building in Taiwan from 1973 to 1981.

Chaotian Temple at Beigang
The Chaotian (also spelled as Chaotien) located at Beigang, Yunlin County, is dedicated to the deity Mazu, the goddess of the sea. Constructed in 1694, it became one of the most important Mazu temples in Taiwan and is known for its extravagant temple architecture. It is visited by more than a million pilgrims every year.

Sun Moon Lake
Sun Moon Lake is the largest natural lake in Taiwan. It is located in Yuchih, Nantou. The area around the Sun Moon Lake is home to the Thao tribe, one of aboriginal tribes in Taiwan. Sun Moon Lake surrounds a tiny island called Lalu. The east side of the lake looks like a sun and the west side looks like a moon, hence the name.Yushan Mountain
Yushan Mountain, also known as Jade Mountain or Mount Yu, is the highest mountain in Taiwan. In the winter, Yushan Mountain is often capped with thick snow which makes the entire peak shine like stainless jade, hence its nickname.
